dado boutique will host its annual Spring 2011 Fashion Show Monday, May 9th and Tuesday, May 10th at Good Luck Restaurant, 50 Anderson Avenue in Village Gate. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are required and available for purchase until sold out at dado boutique, 2900 Monroe Ave. in the Clover Commons at the corner of Monroe Ave. and Clover St., (585) 271-7890. Seated tickets are available for $60, $50 or $40. Bar tickets (standing) are available for $20.
Runway models will don the metropolitan- and bohemian-inspired apparel and accessories in dado’s characteristic European chic style. Spring fashion trends that will be highlighted include maxi dresses, floral prints and nautical themes (lots of navy and white with stripes). Jewelry this season is big and bold in soft, chic colors such as lavender, turquoise and ivory.
Proceeds will once again benefit the James P. Wilmot Cancer Center. dado has hosted four fund-raising fashion show events since 2009, raising more than $18,000 for the center.
In addition to Good Luck’s support, Mann’s Jewelers will adorn the models in baubles and bling, and Rock Paper Scissors Salon will create the hair styles and make-up for the models. FuturPointe, a Rochester-based contemporary dance company, will also perform.
“In the past, we’ve held our fashion shows on one night in the spring and one night in the fall,” said Dalida Atallah, owner of dado boutique. “Because demand has been so great and to celebrate our recent relocation to Monroe Ave., we decided to hold this spring show on two nights.”
